davedit That is so sweet and powerful at the same time Simone. Let us hope for a better future and work for it. If I wasn't traveling next week I'd send a video. Thinking of my soon to be born first grandchild and what the world will be like for her.
thanks again

about

Will you be in the music video for the band version of my song Letter to the Last Generation?

Film someone you love, and/or have them film you, looking directly into the camera lens, thinking about the planet Earth.  What will it be like in five years? Ten, twenty five, one hundred years?

Filmmaker Scott Cohen is making a video for Letter to the Last Generation using footage of people from all over the world.
The song will be released on September 20th, 2019 - the first day of the Global Climate Strike.
The video release is tba.

1) Film up to ten seconds of your child, parent, grandparent, friend or partner silently looking at the camera. (no selfies please, have them film you too)

2) Hold the camera six to eight inches from their face, choose "Slo-Mo" and capture ten seconds of footage, filming vertically. We should see their entire head and part of their shoulders.

3) Send the video to smallbeekeeper@gmail.com  cc'ing your subject, with a line in the email that says, "I approve the use of this video to be part of the Letter to the Last Generation music video"

Thank you for your participation! Please share with anyone and everyone.

Letter to the Last Generation
by Simone White

first we weren't sure
then we ignored
all the way down
what doesn't bend
breaks in the end
hi ho
now we know

by the time you find this
it might be too late
all the signs were there
we simply did not
could not
would not
care

you'll never see
the blue in the sky
oh no
you'll never understand that we tried
no no
you'll never know

by the time you find this
it will be too late
why did we wait
all the signs were there
we simply did not care

no one could be blamed for the lies
everyone was named at the trials
those hollow hollow hollow hollow hollow
hollow
promises

first we weren't sure
then we ignored
all the way down
what doesn't bend
breaks in the end
hi ho
now we know

by the time you find this
it will be too late
why did we wait
all the signs were there
we simply did not care
please take care
